A close rematch

The Women's JV Ice Hockey team traveled down to Exeter, NH in a rematch of last week's game. The team battled strong for three periods but came up just short, 5-7, in the end.  New Hampton jumped out to a 3-2 lead in the first period with goals coming from Callie Paquette '26, Riley Proulx '26, and Eva Adams '27.  Exeter came out strong to start the second and managed 3 quick goals to take a 5-3 lead.  New Hampton then pulled within one with another goal from Riley Proulx. Exeter followed with another quick goal making it 6-4. Eva Thirion '24 put the Huskies back within one goal on a beautiful wrist shot glove side. Exeter added one final goal in the second to take the lead 7-5. It was a fantastic period of hockey with a lot of  back and forth scoring.  The third period was a tight defensive battle that saw no goals, but included some solid play in net from Sarah Pollard '27 as well as a strong defensive effort from Moriah Smith '24, Sara DiClemente '25, Izzy Church '25 and Roberta Scott '27. Eva Adams earned our Husky of the game for her endless energy and 2 point game (1 goal, 1 assist).
