New Hampton Defeats First Lakes Region Opponent, Brewster Academy
WOLFBORO, NH -
The Huskies traveled to Brewster Academy for their first Lakes Region matchup. Elyse Ngenda ‘26 started off hot, scoring 11 of the Huskies 17 points. Brewster capitalized on some of New Hampton's mistakes, leading them to score 13 points in the first quarter. Kitt Jones ‘25 played a huge role defensively in the second quarter, keeping Brewster to just 2 points. Martina Pike was great on the boards, boxing out and helping Tahlia Peña ‘25 start our transition offense early. Ne’vaeh Buntley ‘24 was aggressive offensively in the third quarter, scoring eleven straight points (finishing with 22). Adriana Hernandez ‘25 was a great spark off the bench, knocking down threes and dishing clean assists to her forwards leading to several "and-one" plays. Overall, the Huskies played great team basketball beating the Bobcats 53 - 29.
