Huskies Earn Win On the Road

The Huskies traveled to Proctor Academy in their second game of the week. If the team was tired it didn't show as they came out flying with intensity. New Hampton got on the scoreboard first with a beautiful backhand shot off the stick of freshman Shunsuke Kurata. The Huskies would score again in the first period on a great solo effort from Chase Fitch. The second half of the game was more even as the Huskies gave up a goal from a strong Proctor shot. The game was 2-1 going into the third period and would stay that way until 5 minutes left when Chase Fitch made a perfect pass to an open Joseph Greco, sealing the win for New Hampton. Jamie Schatz had his first start as a New Hampton Husky, playing strong in the net and giving his team the win. It's a short turnaround as the Huskies are on the road again Saturday at Cushing Academy.
