In a frigid matchup against former NEPSAC Class C Champions, Pingree School, New Hampton School was eager to secure a win following last season's loss to Pingree in the Championship contest. While the Huskies dominated the play in the first quarter, Pingree was able to capitalize on a strong run down center field and got up on the board first. With a "focus on the next play mentality," the Huskies were able to refocus and ramp up their offensive pressure. Their efforts wouldn't be rewarded until later in the fourth quarter.

Working hard to get into Pingree's defensive circle, the Huskies found success in their offensive corner unit. Communicating to find open lanes and jumping on rebounds proved to be the difference for the Huskies. Caroline Thomas '25 notched the equalizer with a confident rebound collection and careful placement behind Pingree's keeper. A few minutes later, another offensive corner resulted in a scrum in front of the cage. Unclear how many Huskies touched the ball before it found Emma MacPherson '27, she was credited with the Huskies' second goal and what would later be the game winner.

Our Husky Hustler Award was shared tonight - Emma MacPherson was acknowledged for her second game winner of the season, and Julia Loughlin '24 was recognized for her determination and hustle all over the field. The Huskies have one final match up against Kimball Union Academy on Friday - tune in to the livestream or catch them on Kennedy Field for what is set to be a great game.
