Another OT Tie for the Huskies
The Huskies faced off against Brewster Academy in their Senior Game under the lights on Saturday night. Recognizing the many contributions of their 5 seniors, the Huskies want to give a big shout out to Julia Loughlin, Catherine Gettens, Martina Pike, Elena Brandin, and Santi McCulloch for their leadership over the past few seasons - they will be greatly missed next year!
The Huskies faced off against Brewster Academy in their Senior Game under the lights on Saturday night. Recognizing the many contributions of their 5 seniors, the Huskies want to give a big shout out to Julia Loughlin, Catherine Gettens, Martina Pike, Elena Brandin, and Santi McCulloch for their leadership over the past few seasons - they will be greatly missed next year!
The Huskies dominated the pace of play for much of the first half, though they needed to work hard against a much improved Brewster team. Brewster's keeper was incredibly solid, as was their offensive corner unit, leaving the Huskies pressed to capitalize on fewer scoring opportunities. Kennedy Walker '25 and Julia Loughlin '24 did just that, however, as they collected rebounds and each recorded a goal with great composure in the offensive circle.
Leading by two going into the fourth quarter, the Huskies got a little too comfortable for a few minutes and lost their lead. Scoring two quick goals, Brewster was looking like they were set to make a come back. However, the Huskies regrouped and maintained offensive momentum until the time expired. Hoping their experience in OT would serve them well, the Huskies refocused for 7v7, though they were not able to find the back of the cage.
A great Senior celebration followed, and we thank all Husky Parents for their endless contributions to our program. The Huskies have a big game on Wednesday night against Pingree School. Come on out to Kennedy Field to cheer on your Huskies!
