Huskies Fall on the Road
New Hampton took to the road on Wednesday afternoon for a rematch with a strong Brewster Academy squad.
Brewster came out of the gates quickly and put New Hampton on their heels with an early goal. New Hampton would look to threaten forward on the counterattack but weren't able to break through before Brewster would score again. A disciplined Brewster side capitalized on their chances and made it tough for New Hampton to find their rhythm.
Despite the tough scoreline, the center back duo of Heidi Smith '26 and Elyse Ngenda '26 would show well as they looked to slow the Brewster attack and played out well from the back.
As the second half wore on, New Hampton would begin to hit their stride as the midfield trio of Kaylie Reeve '26, Emily Hobausz '24, and Reese Luber '26 did a good job of tracking runners and transitioning play to the wings.
