OT Win for the Huskies

In a hard fought contest against Holderness School on Wednesday afternoon, the Huskies came out on top. Though dominating the play for most of the game, the Huskies had a difficult time getting the ball past a solid Holderness defensive unit. Having an equally strong defensive game, the Huskies shut down Holderness advances as well and every single one of the Bulls' offensive penalty corner opportunities. Play continued from end to end as regular time came to a close and the Huskies and Bulls headed into OT.

Finding themselves on their heels at the start of OT, the Huskies were able to keep their hopes alive with solid work on defense. OT is fatiguing, with a lot of ground to cover in a 7v7 formation. Getting subs in early proved to be a game changer for the Huskies, as Emma McPhearson '27 had a great run right off the bench. Bypassing Bulls defense and keeper, she was credited with the Huskies game winner in an exciting finish.

Husky Goalkeeper Mary-Ann McMaugh '25 was the game's Husky Hustler for recording 10 saves on the day and keeping the Husky's grounded in the defensive circle.

With Family Weekend ahead, the Huskies will pause before returning to play on October 28th in a match up against Dexter Southfield.
