The Huskies took on a strong Holderness side that focused heavily on defense and counter attacks. Although New Hampton created a few chances they were unable to capitalize on any of them. With 20 minutes left in the game a Holderness player received a red card, which gave the Huskies a man advantage for the rest of the game, but despite bossing possession they were still unable to break the deadlock leaving the game to end in a tie.
