The Huskies travelled to Kimball Union on Wednesday for what would turn out to be a tough loss for New Hampton. While the connections they made across the field were strong in the first three quarters of play, they were not able to fight off a final push by KUA late in the fourth quarter.

Kennedy Walker '25 dominated the play offensively in the first, netting two goals. In the second quarter, Emma McPhearson '27 followed suit recording New Hampton's third and final goal of the game. Kelsey Baker '26, anchored both offensive and defensive units, earning herself the game's Husky Hustler Award. At back, Husky defense had a solid showing - collectively, they shut down 9/10 offensive penalty corner opportunities by KUA and keeper Mary-Ann McMaugh '25 recorded 6 saves.

However, the fourth quarter was a challenge for the Huskies. Several breakdowns across the field left Husky defense vulnerable to KUA offensive advances. KUA, building momentum following two solid goals, was able to record two more with just 5 minutes left on the clock. Time expired, and KUA proved well that a game is never over until the final buzzer.

The Huskies look to shake it off and get back to work before a home matchup against Holderness School on Saturday. Come dressed in PINK to help us recognize October's Breast Cancer Awareness month!!
