The Huskies came out strong against an athletic Proctor Academy and created chances going forward right away in the game. The first goal came from Diego Gomez after a tidy turn in the midfield led him into a space where he caught the keeper off of his line with a left-footed chip into the top left corner of the goal. Later in the first half the Huskies got a free kick in a dangerous position after some hard work from Parker Mason up top, which Patrick Fitzpatrick blasted into the net for the Huskies’ second of the game. The second half was more of a battle, but the Huskies defense held strong and maintained the shutout to give New Hampton the win.
