New Hampton Wins Lakes Region Matchup
New Hampton travelled to Tilton School for a mid-week Lakes Region matchup. The Huskies would prevail 8-0 through a full team effort that saw six different players score and six provide assists.
New Hampton would come out of the gates quickly with Ava Perry '27 finishing off an assist from Emily Hobausz '24 for her second goal of the season. Hobausz would then head home a cross from Kaylie Reeve '26. The Huskies would extend their lead as senior co-captains Kaelin Fitzpatrick '24 and Hobausz would connect on a through ball for Fitzpatrick's fifth goal of the season and Hobausz's fifth assist.
Midfielders Teagan Hurley '25 and Reeve would then get in on the scoring action as they pushed up the field before Reeve would slot home the pass from Hurley for her first goal of the season.
As the half wore on, the Huskies would find success on the flanks as Fia Swormstedt '26 pushed forward from her fullback spot with a darting run that saw her play Brielle Lee '27 in towards goal where Lee would fire a shot past the Tilton goalkeeper for her first goal as a Husky. Casey Stores '27 would follow up Lee's strike with a first goal of her own after finishing an Aniyaha Perez '25 pass across the box. Stores wasn't finished for the day as she would score again shortly before half off of an assist from Reeve.
In the second half, first-year players Lee and Perry would combine again for Stores's second goal of the day. The Huskies would continue to benefit from strong wing play as Nellie MacDonald '26 pressured the Tilton backline effectively throughout the half.
With Tilton looking to get on the board in the second half, Perez and senior Ava Millerick would hold down the outside back spots with strong tackling and passing while Reese Luber '25 patrolled in front of them from her defensive midfield post. Behind the strong defensive line, co-captain Izzy Prentiss '24 would record her fourth shutout of the year.
