Huskies Fall on the Road

The Huskies travelled to Holderness School on Wednesday afternoon for a Lakes Region matchup. Despite controlling possession for much of the game and holding a 15-5 edge in shots, New Hampton would not be able to capitalize and a late Holderness goal would stand as the game winner.

The first half would see the two sides evenly matched as both looked to threaten on goal. With Holderness looking to attack the flanks, the outstanding wide play of Fia Swormstedt '26 and Mack Hibbert '25 was again incredibly important.

As has been the pattern through the early days of the season, the Huskies would come out for the second half with a greater determination as they looked to break the deadlock. Looking to convert possession into attack, Kaylie Reeve '26 would put on a dominant performance in central midfield as the Huskies looked to push the ball to the forward line.

Hoping to break the tie, the Huskies put forth a flurry of late attacks that ultimately weren't able to break through the deep line of Holderness's defense before a counterattack from the Bulls would see Holderness take a late lead.

The Huskies continue their road swing with a Wednesday matchup at Tilton School.
