Huskies Fall to Tigers in Season Opener

The Huskies traveled to southern Connecticut to take on the Tigers of GCDS. New Hampton struggled offensively to gain any traction and only managed to gain 69 rushing yards. Turnovers also plagued New Hampton's offense turning the ball over 5 times and giving the Tigers numerous short fields to work with. The Huskies defense performed well, holding the Tigers to only 21 yards on the ground and total 140 yards. Sean Treadwell and Brady Clough led the effort with 8 tackles a piece. The Tigers also returned a kickoff and a punt for touchdowns. The Huskies home opener will be next Saturday against Portsmouth-Abbey at 2:30 PM.
