Battle at Brooks Ends in a Tie for the Huskies

The Huskies came out flying against a very solid Brooks team and took the lead late in the first half when Diego Gomez volleyed the ball into the net after a scramble in the box on a Huskies corner.  Just before half time the Huskies conceded a penalty that, even though he guessed the right way, Reed Stadtlander was unable to keep out.  After going into halftime 1-1, the Huskies had their best spell of the game at the start of the second half.  We created multiple opportunities on net and Diego Gomez struck the post as well.  The last 15 minutes of the game were stretched and both teams had opportunities to take the win, but the when the final whistle blew the game was still tied at 1-1.
