The Huskies travelled to Brewster Academy on Wednesday afternoon for their first Lakes Region matchup of the 2023 season. While Brewster had the Huskies on their heels in the opening minutes of play, New Hampton settled in and found their stride as they neared the end of the first quarter.

Caroline Thomas '25 was dependable all game, ultimately earning our Husky Hustler Award for her smart play and consistent effort. Helping to open the scoring for the Huskies, Thomas '25 sent a great cross through Brewster's defensive circle and Kennedy Walker '25 put it away with confidence. Shortly into the second quarter, Kelsey Baker's '26 relentless redefending forced a turnover by Brewster that led to the Husky's second and final goal of the game. Through quick give and go passing, Baker '26 was able to get the ball to Reagan Comora '25 who sent it forward to Julia Loughlin '24 for the final goal of play.

Husky defense was strong all game and Mary-Ann McMaugh '25 recorded her first shutout of the season. The Huskies have a great two days of practice ahead of them before facing off with Proctor Academy at home on Saturday.
