New Hampton Beats Brewster at Home

In a rematch of last season's NEPSAC final, New Hampton was able to pick up a 1-0 win against Brewster Academy at home.

In a tightly contested match, New Hampton's backline held strong against a talented Brewster attack. Senior captain and goalkeeper, Izzy Prentiss would be called upon all game to come up with a series of outstanding saves to keep the Huskies in the game while earning her first shutout of the season.

New Hampton's midfield rotation of Kaylie Reeve '26, Teagan Hurley '25, Katie Usilton '25, and Emily Hobausz '24 were tasked with defending Brewster's strong midfield play and they proved up to the task in helping to slow Brewster's transition towards the New Hampton goal.

With just over five minutes remaining in the game, Usilton would play a through ball to Hobausz. After beating her defender to the ball, Hobausz was fouled inside the box, earning a penalty kick for the Huskies. Hobausz then stepped up to the spot to slot home her second goal of the year for what would stand as the game winner.

The Huskies wrap up their home stand on Friday at 5:30 as they welcome Proctor Academy to Kennedy Field. Livestream information can be found at the following link: https://www.newhampton.org/quick-links/nhs-live
