Huskies Fight Hard Against St. Paul's

Coach Koester
New Hampton held a strong defensive line against St. Paul's in a game where the score doesn't come close to reflecting the effort.
On Saturday, New Hampton traveled down to St. Paul's in Concord. Bry Treon had a fantastic game in net, ending the first half at a 0-0 tie. But St. Paul's held a strong offensive line and at times was overly aggressive toward the Huskies. They scored three quick goals near the end of the second half when New Hampton was running on tired legs. Madi Woods, Becca Simmons, Lucy Thomson, Lily Tripp, and Averi Curran ran a tight back line and got several calls on their offsides trap. Autumn James, Jamie Holleran, Nga Nguyen, and Sydney Mailloux had great chemistry up top, but came up just short. The Huskies should be very proud of their showing against St. Paul's in spite of directed aggression on the field. We look forward to out last game away at Kimball Union Academy on Wednesday.
