Amazing comeback for the win!

Down 2-0 going into the 3rd period, New Hampton was able to come back and win the game.
New Hampton dominated the first period, outshooting Proctor. However, in the second period, Proctor scored to take the lead. To make it worse, they were able to get another goal in the top of the third period. The Huskies continued to fight, with everyone on the bench saying "let's get 1 goal." Julia G. did just that. She was able to get on a breakaway and score. With a 1:30 left in the game, New Hampton called a time out. The goalie was pulled to put 6 players on the ice. The face-off would take place in the Proctor zone, giving the Huskies the advantage. During the time out, the team reviewed their play. Bridget C. took the face-off winning the puck back to Ellie B. on defense. Ellie took the crisp, low, hard shot on net, and Jacqui G. was there to get the rebound. The game was tied. The Huskies got a penalty soon afterwards that would put us on the short-handed play for the remainder of the game. But it wasn't over. Julia G. was able to get on another breakaway and scored the game winning goal with a corner shot with only 20 seconds left in the game. The Huskies played amazingly hard to come back for the win. Natalie P. was recognized after the game for her overall improvement. Emma T. was also recognized for her hard-work in net to keep us in the game. Lastly, Bridget C. was also recognized for winning the face-off that led to the game tying goal. Great work Huskies!
