New Hampton Falls to Hillside School

The Huskies took the ice Friday afternoon against Hillside School and dropped the contest, 4 to 2. This was the third time New Hampton has faced the talented Hillside team this season, unfortunately dropping all three games. The game was back and forth throughout the first half as the Huskies couldn’t sneak a puck by the Hillside goaltender. Trailing 2 to 0, New Hampton jumped on the board with a goal from senior, Kaya Suner. Suner received a pass in front of the net from teammate, Marek Pechr, and slipped it past the goaltender. Later in the period, the Huskies tied the game with a goal from senior captain, Troy Coan. Coan parked himself in front of the net and jammed a feed from teammate, Jun Cha, into the net. With the game tied at two, Hillside took the lead on a net front scramble, jumping on a loose puck and beating goalie, Alex Bechard. Hillside added an insurance goal a few minutes later off of a redirected shot. Bechard was fantastic all game making well over 30 saves. The Huskies get right back into action tomorrow when they take on Phillips Exeter Academy at Jacobson Arena.
