Huskies Beat Kent's Hill in MAISAD League Game

The Huskies took on Kent’s Hill in a key league game Wednesday afternoon, with the season series tied 1-1, both teams were looking to win the season series. NHS came out slow after their long bus ride. The defense, on the other hand, was ready to go from the jump. New Hampton held Kent’s Hill to 23 first half points. Austin Caruso, Charlie Raisin, Guthrie Little and David Henriquez played excellent individual defense. Huskies found themselves up 6 at halftime.
At the beginning of the second half, the offense finally caught up to the defense. Guthrie Little scored 10 second half points and Marcus Peterson had 18 second half points. The defense was stingy and allowed for New Hampton to get transition opportunities to score. New Hampton came out victorious 60-42.
New Hampton has a small break before their next game against Redemption Christian next Wednesday. Marcus Peterson led the team in scoring with 18, Guthrie Little had 12 and Charlie Raisin chipped in 10. Michael Donnelly and Will Wood provided huge momentum plays with their defense and hustle.
