Huskies Let Opener Slip Away

New Haven, CT- New Hampton School travelled down to the National Prep Showcase at Albertus Magnus College in New Haven, CT to kick off the 2017-18 campaign. Despite a valiant effort, the young Huskies dropped to 0-1 on the season at the hands of CBD Montverde Academy. The Huskies put forth a unified effort in the first half which saw them control pace, share the basketball, and knock down open 3's agsint the visitors from Florida. Unfortunately an eight minute scoring drought in the second half doomed New Hampton.

Stanford University commit Keenan Fitzmorris '18 (Overland Park, KS) led New Hampton with 18 pts and 14 rbs, Mika Adams-Woods '18 (Syracuse, NY) finished with 18 pts, 6 rbs, and 4 assts, and Bas Leyte '19 (Bergen Op Zoom, Netherlands) added 9 pts and 6 rbs. The Huskies also saw Mason Webb '18 (Oklahoma City, OK), Brad Leventhal '18 (Potomac, MD), Roy Grigsby '18 (Superior, CO) and Dyondre Dominguez '20 (Providence, RI) notch their first points at New Hampton.
