Faculty and Staff Members Join Search Committee
The Board of Trustees adds three faculty and staff members to the committee.
On January 5th, the Head of School Search Committee added faculty and staff members to the search team. Committee Chair Rick Peyser announced Cindy Glidden, Kyle Masterson and Jess MacLeod will join as full voting members to decide on the next Head of School. The Committee will reconvene at the end of January, with an October 2015 appointment still on schedule.
Peyser's full letter to the faculty is included below.
I hope you had wonderful holidays with family and friends. When I had the opportunity to speak with you at an all-school meeting in November, I said that the Search Committee wanted the faculty and staff to have a voice in the search for a new Head of School for New Hampton; a voice that would not only be heard, but would be listened to. On Monday, January 5th, the Search Committee met to discuss expanding the size of the Committee to include members of the faculty and staff to ensure that all voices in the New Hampton Community are represented. The Committee carefully considered many factors in selecting new members, including diversity of roles, areas of expertise, and the overall makeup of the Committee itself.
It is my pleasure to inform you that Jess MacLeod, Kyle Masterson, and Cindy Glidden have accepted our invitation to join the Search Committee as full voting members who will help select the next Head of School, as approved by the New Hampton School Board of Trustees. Jess, Kyle, and Cindy will join the Search Committee when it meets on January 24th to help design and lead a process that will ensure that all voices in the New Hampton School community are heard throughout this search.
