Huskies Defeat Lee Academy

In their home game of the year, New Hampton downed Lee Academy 73-60. The Huskies opened up the game on a 17-1 run, but Lee was able to stem the bleeding, and the Huskies headed into the break up 39-25. Lee came out the aggressor in the second half, riding a barrage of threes and offensive rebounds to pull with six at 42-36. However, the Huskies responded, blowing the game open and pushing the lead up to 26 at one point. All 15 Huskies saw playing time, lead by AJ Turner '15 (New Haven, MI) with 19 points. A balanced scoring effort saw only one other Husky, Max Rothschild '15 (Chicago, IL), find double figures with 10. The Huskies begin a crucial stretch of league games on Saturday, when they travel to AAA league for South Kent. Tip off is at 5 PM.
