The lacrosse community is taking notice. One of the rising women's lacrossee programs in New England, the New Hampton Women's Lacrosse team continues to include some of the best young players in the region.

Sidney Swormstedt '15 (Laconia, NH), Dempsey Arsenault '15 (New Hampton, NH), Emmy Fay '14 (New Hampton, NH), and Gabby Vautour '14 (New Brunswick, Canada) were recently selected to represent Vermont and New Hampshire at the US Lacrosse Women’s Division National Tournament at Lehigh University on May 24-26.

Swormstead, Vautour and Arsenault were selected for the top team and Fay earned a spot on the second team. Over 100 players in grades 9-11 tried out for the regional team, and the four lady Huskies from New Hampton, were selected for the squad.

"It is great for the program to have four athletes represent New Hampton as members of the Upper New England teams," New Hampton Women's Coach Jenna McCabe said. "This team represents the best players in New Hampshire and Vermont! Having four players make these teams is a tribute to their dedication and hard work."

Approximately 60 teams from across the country will be placed into 6 divisions, which are further broken into pools. It is one of the nation’s most historic lacrosse events, dating back to the 1930s. A prime destination for college coaches, the event has evolved into one of the nation’s premier recruiting events for women’s lacrosse, drawing teams from all over the country.
