New Hampton Take On EIL Opponent, PIngree School

The Huskies traveled to Hamilton MA, to play a historically strong program, The Pingree School.  After a slow warm up, New Hampton seemed ready to go at the first whistle.  The game started with back and forth possessions ending with the Huskies on the board first, and they didn't stop there.  New Hampton continued their strong play throughout the first half and went into halftime with a comfortable lead.  They knew that comfortable was not a feeling that they could let catch on because with 30 minutes of play left against another strong team, anything could happen.
The Huskies played more of a possession game during the second half, trying to take some time off of the clock.  Defense continued to play as a team holding off Pingree of getting back into the game.  Because of strong defensive play and great ball movement on offense, the Huskies were able to take down Pingree with a final score of 12-6.

Sidney Swormstedt led the scoring with 6 goals and 1 assist followed by Dempsey Arsenault and Gabby Vautour with 4 points each.  Alisha Gilbert came up with 6 key saves throughout the game.  Dempsey Arsenault led draw controls for the Huskies pulling 4 out of the air.

The Huskies take on Proctor School, their second league opponent, on Wednesday at Proctor.
