Post Graduate Kyle Cain (Calumet City, IL) has been putting in extra time in the gym with New Hampton Assistant Coach Freddy Petkus, and the work is beginning to pay off. Cain, who is off to URI in the fall, led New Hampton in scoring with 17 points Friday night in their 85-57 win over Lakes Region rival Holderness School. During the 6:30 a.m. workouts Cain has been working on extending his range and improving his back-to-the-basket game.

Junior Steve Topercer (Phoenix, AZ) scored 14 points and Senior Evan Smotrycz (Reading, MA) contributed 13 points. Jordan Laguerre (Manchester, NH) and Dartaye Ruffin (Stoughton, MA) each scored 14 points.

New Hampton (16-8) has won each of their last three games by more than 20 points. The HUSKIES will welcome back Thomas Bropleh, who has sat out the last two games with a shoulder injury, when they travel to play Lakes Region rival Proctor Academy Monday afternoon.
