The Huskies took another 4-0 victory tonight in front of an inspiring crowd at Lyndsay Arena.
New Hampton got the scoring started in the first when Eric Hanover put home a rebound off of an Evan Eaton shot. MVK came back quickly looking to balance the scales, but stalwart Theoren Aube put an end to those hopes quickly. The period ended with NHS up 1-0. "Scuba" Steve Beck got his first goal in a New Hampton jersey shortly after the start of the second. Beck waited patiently in front of the net and slammed home a rebound from a Paul Buckley shot. Jaran Bernasconi initiated the play with a strong forecheck and a nifty pass from behind the goal. THe third period saw goals from Mike McBournie and Nate Barry, whose line dominated play throughout. Aside from the points, New Hampton saw solid play from top to bottom. Ryder Arsenault led the defense in a fantastic showing despite an abundance of penalties. On offense, young and veteran players alike contributed and maintained a fast-paced yet poised game.
