Huskies Too Much for Brewster

The New Hampton School girls basketball team defeated Lakes Region rival Brewster Academy on Saturday afternoon, 71-32.  New Hampton started the game on a 17-1 run and never looked back, jumping out to a 44-13 halftime lead. Alexandra Marcell (Pittsford, VT) led the Huskies in with 17 points.  Jaclyn Murray (Beverly Farms, MA) added 10 points and Colleen Carrigg (Gilford, NH) and Jen Gureckis (Nashua, NH) each contributed nine points.  Brewster was led by Kelsey Harger’s 26 points.  The win improves New Hampton’s record to 10-1.  New Hampton’s next game is Wednesday, Jan. 17, when the Huskies play at Concord Tech at 6:00.
