Wednesday afternoon, the Huskies hit the ice for their opening game of the season. In the Huskies' defensive end, New Hampton battled with Winchendon. Goaltender, Soji Ihashi saw a barrage of pucks, as he locked down cage in New Hampton's zone. However, later in the period, Winchendon would be the first team to get on the scoreboard after beating New Hampton's defenders on the rush. Throughout the second half of the game, the Huskies would continue to compete with multiple chances from Cam Taylor and Alex Gundersen. Later in the game, Henry Isenstadt would fire a shot just over the Winchendon netminder's shoulder, Making the score 3-1 Wich. The Huskies would continue to battle to the final buzzer but would fall short, with the final score being 4-1 Winchendon.
