New Hampton improved over the course of the game against Phillips Exeter. Defensively, we allowed too many paint touches and second chance points to allow Phillips Exeter to score 11 points in the first quarter. The Huskies kept Phillips Exeter to just 5 points per quarter following the first. Tahlia Pena showed great leadership and communication throughout the whole game, finishing with 9 points. Offensively, Adriana Hernández was a great spark off the bench, as she challenged Exeter's man-to-man defense. Cass Belsito and Ally Garron communicated well on the defensive end forcing turnovers. Martina Pike showed her high IQ on the offensive end, setting strong screens and making reads to help her teammates score the basketball.
