Huskies start the season with a solid win over KUA!
JV Women’s lacrosse opened their season with a solid win over KUA. Goals by Brenna Young, Mia Soucy, Isa Healey and Liv Tuffy allowed the Huskies to outscore KUA 11 to 6. Victoria Butler and Tuffy both tallied an assist in the winning effort.
Huskies showed great hustle all over the field, with Soucy leading the team in ground balls (6) and Bridget England tallying 2 draw controls. Our defensive unit, anchored by Elena Ferreira and Kareena Alam, limited the number of shots taken on goal and Sarai Nicolosi came up big with 5 saves.
While a win is always nice, I am most proud of the energy and positive attitude from all of our players. Our brand new players showed a lot of courage on the field and our more seasoned players provided great support and guidance for our newbies. GO HUSKIES!!
