New Hampton School vs. Stanstead College 2/10/16

        As all of the Huskies would return to the lineup, Stanstead College would travel from Canada to face the Huskies at the Merrill Lindsay Arena. The Huskies would look to score some goals after the previous shutout at Andover.  
        The first period would be fun and exciting, as the pace would be quick and play would be physical. The Huskies would rise to the occasion and step their game up. Forward Sierra Lee ’17 would create many offensive opportunities by rushing the puck to the net, creating rebounds and traffic in front. The Huskies would have two Power Plays to try and bury the puck. Unfortunately, a talented Stanstead team would keep the Huskies shut out. Husky goalie Olivia Sollows ’19 would prove to be a force in the net as she was able to shut down Stanstead. The first period would end in a 0-0 tie.
            The Huskies would earn another Power Play in the second period but still would not be successful. Shots from the point by Cayla Barnes ’17 and Lauren DeBlois ’19 would create unsuccessful rebounds and traffic in front. On the Penalty Kill, forward Savannah Norcross ’18 would block shots, forcing Stanstead to have to regroup out of the zone. Stanstead would open up the scoring, as they would take a 1-0 lead. Sollows would make some unbelievable saves in net, keeping the lead to just one.
            The Huskies would be ready to fight back and score their first goal to tie the game. Unfortunately, Stanstead was able to connect on another Power Play Goal, eanring a 2-0 lead. Just a minute later, they would score another goal, leading the Huskies 3-0. The Huskies would fight until the end but ultimately would fall 3-0.
