The Power of a Rural Campus
Our campus in rural New Hampshire is one of our greatest assets when it comes to safety. Surrounded by natural beauty and removed from the distractions and risks of urban environments, our location creates space—space to focus, space to grow, and space to build a secure, close-knit community.
The Health Center
Our Health Center provides compassionate, professional care right on campus. Staffed by experienced nurses and supported by local providers, it ensures timely care for both routine and urgent needs, with clear family communication and seamless coordination for specialized treatment when needed.
Students receive support for:
- Illness and injury care
- Medication management
- Ongoing health monitoring
- Preventative health education
- Coordination with families and outside providers

Counseling Services
Wellness goes far beyond physical health. Adolescence is a time of growth, pressure, and change—and students deserve skilled guidance as they navigate it.
Students have access to:
- Scheduled and drop-in counseling sessions
- Comprehensive health and wellness curriculum
- Partnership with local therapists who can meet confidentially with students on campus
- Sage the Therapy dog
- Healthy Choices Support Group, a confidential weekly group focused on building sustainable, healthy habits
- Bring Change to Mind, a student-led chapter of a national mental health advocacy organization for a stigma-free community
Counselors are accessible, approachable, and deeply integrated into campus life. Whether a student needs short-term guidance or ongoing support, we prioritize early intervention, healthy coping strategies, and resilience-building tools.
Safety Measures in Place
Safety at New Hampton School is proactive, layered, and intentional. We continually review and refine our practices to ensure the highest standards of care and protection.
Our safety measures include:
- 24/7 adult supervision and secure access in residential houses
- Campus access protocols and video monitoring
- Emergency preparedness planning and drills
- Ongoing staff training in safety procedures
- Close coordination with local emergency services.

A Community That Looks Out for One Another
Wellness and safety are strengthened by the community. At New Hampton School, students are surrounded by adults who know them well and peers who look out for one another. From dorm parents to coaches to advisors, every adult on campus shares responsibility for student well-being.
