May Female Athlete: Alisha Gilbert '14

The May Female Athlete of the Month goes to Alisha Gilbert who is a member of the Women’s Varsity Lacrosse Team. Alisha always put her team first and the game was never about her.  She came out every day with a positive attitude ready for whatever challenge awaited her.  This approach allowed Alisha to continue to improve during her senior season and helped to keep her team in many close games, including the Lakes Region Championship.  During the month of May, Alisha had her first shut out, and held other teams to only 30 goals in 6 games, while the Huskies outscored their opponents with 85 goals. This stone wall goalie developed along with her fellow defenders an attitude that let other teams know they were a force to be reckoned with.  For her composure while clearing, unselfish but relentless approach, and consistent attitude, the May Female Athlete of the month was presented to Alisha Gilbert.
