Athletes of the Month – December

Barnes and Davidson win for efforts on the ice.

The December Female Athlete of the Month is awarded to Cayla Barnes. A member of the Women’s Varsity Hockey Team, Cayla got off to a fantastic start to the season with 8 goals and 12 assists (20 points) in 11 games. These points rank her at the top of the league in scoring. Cayla has helped the team to a solid 5-5-1 start with good wins over Milton Academy and Culver Military Academy. Her hard work during and outside of our season has also paid off. She was selected to represent Team USA at the World Championships as the youngest player on the team. For her focused start as a Husky this season and selection to represent Team USA, Cayla Barnes was named the December Female Athlete of the Month.

The December Male Athlete of the Month is awarded to Ben Davidson. A member of the Men’s Varsity A Hockey Team, Ben had four goals and three assists in nine games over the month. Two of his four goals were overtime game winners including the goal that helped the team beat Phillips Andover 4-3. Ben also scored the overtime winner to help the Huskies Defeat Kingswood Oxford School in the 3rd place game of the Brooks Holiday Tournament. Ben has been one of the team's most consistent players. We hope to see more of this! For his consistency and ability to play focused till the buzzer, Ben Davidson was named the December Male Athlete of the Month.
