Varsity Football Beats Hamden Hall 48-26 in O’Keefe Bowl

New Hampton squared off against Hamden Hall in its third, consecutive NEPSAC post-season game as Brown University hosted the 2015 Ken O’Keefe New England Championship Bowl on Saturday. The game was tied at 6-6 after twelve minutes before the New Hampton offense ignited in the second quarter and padded the lead after halftime. Christian Everett ’16 threw for three touchdowns—one to Anthony Gaines and two to Auden Menke. Nick Heras ’16 connected with Menke to bring the passing TD count to five. Everett ran for two TDs—one for twenty yards—before Chad Kidd ’16 closed the scoring account with a one yard run to seal the victory.

New Hampton was equally impressive on defense as they held Hamden Hall to sixteen points below their season average. Carter Dillon ’16 led the way with eleven tackles, Paul Corapi ’16 added an interception, and the defense limited their opponent to one two-point conversion in four tries.
