    Head Coach: Veronica Lima-De Angelis

Led by a coach with international experience, the New Hampton School men's tennis program helps every player maximize their potential and performance within their own unique style of play. The NHS program has a strong sense of identity and purpose, firmly rooted in a long and rich tradition on and off the court that has produced numerous Lakes Region Championships and college-ready players.

Coaches work closely with players players to build and strengthen every stroke based on their current ability level. We also educate players on not only how to hit the ball, but also how to "play" the game at the highest level.

Drawing on years of experience as a player and coach, tennis director Veronica Lima-Deangelis teaches players advanced tactics and strategies for competition. Training and the practice of both defensive and attacking game are developed on a daily basis. The NHS program emphasizes the development of basic physical skills such as endurance, strength, speed, and flexibility. We want our players to love the game, whether they are watching the game or playing the sport.

NHS players compete in singles in doubles in two matches each week during the season. Their experiences allow them to become a better person and player. Players will develop short and long-term goals and will be taught self-reliance, the importance of self-esteem, discipline, respect, time management, responsibility, and teamwork.

With nine hard courts and a professionally trained coach, NHS boasts a facility and the expertise that can help shape top-notch student-athletes. The men's team has a tradition of excellence and has enjoyed a great deal of success during the past 18 years.
