The New Hampton hockey program is a member of the New England Prep School Ice Hockey Association (NEPSIHA), competing against the top Division I prep schools in New England. New Hampton hockey, which was NEPSAC finalist in the 2011, has traditionally been one of the strongest programs in New England, and has consistently produced some of college hockey's top players. The New Hampton coaching staff brings years of college and professional playing experience to the program, and are committed to continuing New Hampton's tradition of excellence. New Hampton attracts top student-athletes who are capable of contributing not only in academics and athletics, but in the community as well. A Native of Detroit, Michigan, Eric is excited to return to New Hampshire and join the New Hampton Community. Before coming to New Hampton, he played eight years of professional hockey, including his last six years playing in Sweden winning three league scoring titles. Eric received his B.A. in Economics from Dartmouth College, where he was a standout member of the Men's Varsity Ice Hockey Team, helping lead the team to an ECAC Regular Season Championship and scoring over 100 points in his career. During his time at Dartmouth, Eric also interned as a Strength and Conditioning Coach.
Eric is Head of the Math Department, the Assistant Coach with the Men's Varsity "A" Ice Hockey Team and runs the off-season workouts for the hockey team. During his time as the Assistant Men's Varsity "A" Ice Hockey Coach, Eric has helped to develop multiple Division I and Division III College Hockey Players, as well as some NHL Draft picks. Eric is also the House Head of Philips House, where he lives with his wife Jonna, their daughter Molly and their son Logan.
