The Huskies fell 18-6 to a seasoned Winchendon squad in their first home game of the season.  Winchendon jumped out to an 8-0 lead through 2.5 innings before the Huskies were able to put some runs on the board in the bottom of the third.  Leading the offense for the day were Izabelle Chadwick '27 going 2 for 3 with 1 RBI, Aniyaha Perez '25 going 1 for 1 with a walk and a run and Adriana Hernandez '25 who was patient at the plate drawing three walks and scoring 1 run. Overall the Huskies scored 6 runs on 4 hits and 8 walks.  Liv Sabin '27 earned the loss, giving up 9 hits and 8 walks while striking out 4 batters.  Eva Adams '25 and Aniyaha Perez '25 both made spectacular catches in the outfield, preventing even more offense from Winchendon.  Adriana Hernandez also contributed on defense with an amazing 5-3 double play on a hard hit grounder up the third base line.  The young Husky squad is showing consistent improvements daily and look forward their game on Friday against Brewster Academy. 

The Huskies traveled down to Dedham to face Noble and Greenough School for their first game of the season.  With only a few days of practice outside due to the extended winter weather in New Hampshire, the Huskies fell to a talented Nobles squad.  The Huskies were able to get on base just three times with Abby Schrader '27 and Julia Loughlin '25 drawing walks, and Mackenzie Mercer '27 with a beautiful single up the first base line that eluded the infield. Liv Sabin '27 took the mound for the Huskies and struck out 3 batters in the loss.  The Huskies look to rebound Wednesday as they take on The Winchendon School at home.
