Huskies Take On the Spartans

The New Hampton Huskies Huskies suffered a 6-2 loss against Canada’s Stanstead Spartans in a scrimmage on Wednesday at The Jacobson Arena. Goalies Sophia Hauseburger and Avery Callison provided a solid backbone for the team, turning away shots and communicating with their defenders.
Defender Jo Tattersall was fearless all over the ice - stepping up on the blue line in the offensive end and making tape to tape passes to her D partner and the forwards. Forwards Sam Rivet and Liv Tuffy applied constant pressure on the forecheck in the neutral zone. Anna Shelden was consistently moving her feet on the backcheck and disrupting passes. Taze Thompson opened up scoring for the Huskies in the second period. Emma Robertson assisted on the goal. Late in the third period, Ava Golash entered the offensive zone with the puck, and released a shot from the top of the circle. She followed the deflection of her shot, crashing the net and sliding the puck past the goalie for the Huskies second goal of the game. The Huskies are back in action on Wednesday, November 4th vs The Noble and Greenough School at 5:15 pm.
