Huskies Fall Again to Pingree

The Huskies took on Pingree on Wednesday for their first post-season match up in the blistering cold. They were excited for a chance at revenge, having lost to Pingree only a week prior. The Huskies started off strong with possession shifting evenly between the two teams. Offensively, we had a few close opportunities sending fast balls up the center and weaving through the Pingree defense; however, we were unable to capitalize. Pingree was the first on the board and we ended the first half trailing 0-2. Not feeling daunted, the Huskies started the second half with a new fire and motivation. We created several more close opportunities, but were still unable to capitalize. Pingree was able to score again, seemingly sealing their fate. We kept fighting, though more hesitantly. With a few minutes left in the game, Pingree scored a beautiful chip shot goal on a fast break that sealed the deal. It was a hard fought game and a tough end to our 2019 season. We are very proud of our team and how far we've come this season.
