Senior Day Success

Huskies celebrated the last home game for Seniors Emily LaCroix and Subhana Branche with a win. Energy was high in the 9v9 bout with KUA and the Huskies went right to work. in the Midfield, Chris Wang had a strong defensive stick which helped to keep the ball mostly in the KUA end. There was lots of pressure on the KUA keeper, and with 8 minutes left in the half, a pass in front of the net from Ava Golash went to Alex King, a shot was blocked by KUA defender and was deflected back to Golash who was able to net it. KUA answered back with only 1:15 remaining in the half. The goal came on a scrum in front of the NHS net. Huskies did not let up and in the second half got right back to work with Molly Coyle dodging through traffic to put another on the board. Emily LaCroix put on the wheels taking a couple break-aways in the second half. Huskies kept the pressure on with Branche in the midfield helping to transfer the ball up to the forwards. As time expired, the Huskies came off the field smiling.
