Huskies Work as a Team in Win Over the Hornets

In the first game of a three-game stretch to end the season, New Hampton traveled over to Proctor Academy to take the pitch for the second time this fall. The beginning of the game was shifty and slow, but as the ladies started to work together and talk, they fell into a groove. Captain Jamie Holleran scored the Huskies' first goal from midfield, and striker Autumn James scored the second just before halftime. Bry Treon had a great first half in net after taking over for an injured Allie Parmett. Sydney Mailloux got the scoring started in the second half, followed by Emma Yao's first goal of the season on a beautiful cross into the net. One more for Jamie and for Autumn and the Huskies ended the second half at 6-0 over Proctor. Madi Woods and Averi Curran hustled on defense, Kira Mears and Alden Truesdale helped at midfield, Nga Nguyen had several tough pushes on attack, and overall the Huskies pulled off a great team win.
