Exciting Finale Results in Tie

Flurry of goals in closing minutes brings another tie
The Huskies made the trip to the other side of Lake Winnipesaukee on Saturday to play Brewster Academy. The young, technical, and motivated Bobcats gave the Huskies quite the game.We moved the ball around well in the back and consistently moved the ball up the field where our forwards were able to dazzle the defense with moves and several attempts on goal. Despite many opportunities for us and a few nervous moments, we entered half-time at 0-0. The message at the half was to keep the level high and the payoff will come. This proved true early in the second half when we received a penalty kick following great build-up play. The shot was buried and we were rewarded with a deserved 1-0 lead. The game never really came to life until the closing stages.Brewster managed to squeeze the ball into the back of our net with less than 10 minutes to go following our failure to clear our lines. Our guys showed tremendous resiliency once again to regain the lead two minutes later. However, with only minutes left on the clock, Brewster leveled the score one last time with another skirmish inside our 18-yard box.Credit to a scrappy and talented Brewster side for earning their way back into the game. Our huskies played a very good game, but could not keep the Bobcats off the scoreboard.Despite the result, our record this season remains strong and the team is still in contention for playoffs. At 7-2-4, we have three more games to prove we deserve to be in the playoffs.
