Turnovers plague New Hampton in loss to St. Paul's School on Kennedy Field.
New Hampton faced undefeated St. Pauls School at home on Saturday afternoon. The Huskies seemed to off to a great start as they stifled the high-powered Pelican offense. Runningback Ky'Juon Butler rushed for two touchdowns to give the Huskies a 14 - 0 lead midway through the second quarter. The Pelicans were able to score a touchdown before the half making the score 14 - 6 at halftime. The third quarter was all St. Paul's however as turnovers and attrition plagued New Hampton. St. Pauls would capitalize on Husky mistakes to score five touchdowns to take a 14 - 42 lead. New Hampton would add one more touchdown on a Keith Willson pass to Thomas McNeil in the fourth quarter to round out the scoring. Butler would lead the Husky offense with 189 yards rushing on 41 carries. The defense was led by Marcus Peterson who had 9 tackles and an interception. The Huskies (3-2) face Pingree School next Saturday on Kennedy Field at 5 pm.
