New Hampton Loses on Late Proctor Goals

The Huskies played a great game at Proctor, but two late goals proved the difference in this tight contest. Sophomore forward Ally Prentice opened the scoring for New Hampton to level it at 1-1 after Proctor took an early lead. Proctor went up 2-1 a few minutes later before junior midfielder Katie Matthews tied it again at 2-2. The score remained deadlocked until the 70th minute when Proctor split the Husky backline and slotted home the would-be game winner. With New Hampton pressing hard, the backline was caught high in the final minutes as Proctor slotted home an insurance goal.
