Huskies Drop Second Game to Proctor

Coach Koester
With a score that doesn't highlight the true might of the Husky offense, New Hampton comes up short again against Proctor.
On a chilly but sunny day in Andover, NH, the Huskies were ready to face Proctor for the second time this week. The offense came out strong; New Hampton scored first on a center cross in from Averi Curran to Sydney Mailloux. Unfortunately, that would be all the scoring the Huskies would do on the pitch. One trickler in front of the net between keeper Anna Wolf's legs plus a penalty kick off a handball left the Huskies down 2-1 at halftime. An aggressive Proctor offense didn't let up in the second half; even though Cathy Li, Alden Truesdale, Emma Yao, and Ari Bolduc kept the pressure at half field, a few miscommunications led to two more Proctor goals. Anna Wolf had twelve saves in the first half alone and totaled seventeen throughout the game. This week, the girls will work on settling the ball, light touches, communication, and trapping with their bodies.
