Huskies put up solid win over Brewster

Goals by Coyle, Golash & Tripp solidify home-opener win.
The Huskies had a slow start on Wednesday agains the Brewster Bobcats. Communication on the field was lacking and organization was a challenge. Huskies dug deep and turned it around on the first penalty corner. Kareena Alam inserted a well executed pass to Isa Healey who dumped it in to the right post where Molly Coyle was positioned to deflect it into the net.
Huskies kept the pressure on in the first and while the bobcats earned their share of possessions, the Husky defense prevailed and kept them out of the circle. Newcomer Julia Bao really stepped up with a strong stick and blocked many of the Brewster charges.  Still in the first, the Huskies stormed the Brewster Circle. A shot from Healey was saved by the Brewster Keeper, but Ava Golash took the rebound right to the back of the net.
In the second half, the Bobcats forced their way into the Husky cirlce, Sam Davis and Cassie Dumont made quick work of the onslaught but the Bobcats were able to get one shot on net. Keeper Sarah LaCroix had her opportunity and cleared the ball right out of the circle. The back and forth continued through center field where, midfielder Sophia Schwartzman was impactful, moving the ball up to forwards to continue the charge. Golash broke away from the pack toward the net. She dowloaded the ball to Healey who passed it through traffic to a wide-open Sarah Tripp who seemingly dribbled the ball into the net to put the 3rd goal on the board with only three minutes remaining. The score would remain 3-0. Huskies travel to Proctor on Saturday.
