Double Point Win for the Huskies against Holderness and Vermont

The Huskies continued their undefeated run in Lakes Region competition in a big win against both Vermont and Holderness in a two-part competition that contributed to 2 points in the Lakes Region standings.

In match play, the Huskies swept Vermont, winning each match against their opponents. Against Holderness, Newman (1), Coan (2), Grace (4), and Burwell (6) all won their matches. Joughin (3) and Bone (5) dropped their matches, but still contributed solid points to the Stableford team competition.

In Stableford, the Huskies pulled out an even tighter win against Holderness. The point totals were New Hampton 117, Holderness 112, and Vermont 54. Solid contributions across the board from the Huskies were vital to this win to assert themselves as a dominant force in the league, as each player added point totals no lower than 15 points and no higher than 22.

Team lows were tied as both Newman (1) and Coan (2) shot 41, followed close behind by Joughin (42) and Burwell (43).

The Huskies move into next week preparing to face their rival, Tilton, for the first time this season and the opportunity to finalize their undefeated run in the Lakes Region.
