Huskies Outworked in Loss to Proctor

Coming off a strong win against Holderness, New Hampton is looking to gain more Lakes Region points as they take on Proctor Academy this evening. However, the Huskies did not come ready to play and Proctor took advantage scoring four times in the first eleven minutes. After the first period of play, New Hampton found themselves trailing 4-0 and needing an early goal in the second period to get them on the board to spark a comeback. The Huskies came out strong in the second period, creating some early chances earning power plays and hitting several posts, but were unable to beat the Proctor goaltender. After two periods of play the score remained: Proctor 4 New Hampton 0. To start the third period, the Huskies would need to create some early offense to get back in the game. Looking to create offense, New Hampton took some risks that lead to Proctor scoring twice before the seven minute mark of the period. Proctor added one more goal before the game was over, to defeat New Hampton 7-0. The Huskies will look to regroup after tonight’s loss and get ready to take on another strong team, in Dexter School, on Saturday.
